Come tutti gli anni si è svolta al San Diego Comic Con la cerimonia di premiazione degli Eisner Awards 2021, i Premi Oscar del fumetto. A presentare la cerimonia intitolata al pioniere del fumetto a cui è attribuita la paternità delle graphic novel, Will Eisner, è stato l’attore Phil LaMarr, interprete di Marvin in Pulp Fiction di Quentin Tarantino e doppiatore, tra gli altri, di Jack in Samurai Jack e Hermes Conrad in Futurama. Tra quelli che si sono aggiudicati il maggior numero di statuette in questi Eisner Awards 2021 figurano Adrian Tomine, Gene Luen Yang, Ed Brubaker, Junji Ito, Stan Sakai, e i coniugi Mike e Laura Allred.

Vittorio Pezzella

Cercò per lungo tempo il proprio linguaggio ideale, trovandolo infine nei libri e nei fumetti. Cominciò quindi a leggerli e studiarli avidamente, per poi parlarne sul web. Nonostante tutto, è ancora molto legato agli amici "Cinema" e "Serie TV", che continua a vedere sporadicamente.
