Come ogni anno la San Diego Comic Convention, meglio nota come Comic-Con, ha annunciato i vincitori degli Eisner Awards, i Premi Oscar del fumetto.
Le case editrici Image e DC Comics hanno ricevuto il maggior numero di nomination: Image con 20 (più 6 condivise) e DC con 11 (più 5 condivise). Le candidature della Image coprono un ampio spettro di titoli, con nomination multiple per Clementine, The Department of Truth, It’s Lonely at the Centre of the Earth, Killadelphia, Love Everlasting, Monstress e Rain. In cima alle nomination della DC ci sono Human Target e Nightwing, con 3 nomination ciascuno.
